Welcome New Contributor, Mike D. Hollis!

Originally from Washington, NC, Mike answered the call to pastoral ministry at the age of thirteen. In the Fall of 2012, Mike enrolled at Welch College in Nashville, TN, to pursue God’s calling on his life for vocational ministry. As an undergraduate student, Mike served as an Associate Pastor of two Nashville-area churches, where his theological training went hand-in-hand with his ministry practice. In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and again in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry, both from Welch College. Currently, Mike is completing his Master of Divinity degree from Welch Divinity School, and desires to enroll in a Ph.D. program in Ecclesiology.

Mike married the love of his life, Megan, in 2015 and they have one son, Maddux Andrew. Ordained to gospel ministry in 2015, he served as an Associate Pastor of Students and Music for over 6 years before answering the call to serve as the Lead Pastor of the Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View, TN, where he has served since March of 2020. Mike cares deeply about theology, Free Will Baptist history, expositional preaching, spiritual disciplines, and the church.

Outside of local church ministry, Mike loves spending time with his wife, playing with his son, reading good books, savoring quality coffee, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. As a native North Carolinian, Mike is a tried and true Tar Heel and believes the best shade of blue is Carolina.
